Heather Daims, principal at Los Angeles Contreras, has been elected the 27th president-elect of the California Interscholastic Federation.
She will oversee the Federated Council that is the governing body for high school sports in two years.
The Federated Council also approved a two-year pilot program for a Southern California Regional boys’ volleyball championship. The Central, Southern, Los Angeles and San Diego sections will compete in three eight-team divisions next spring.
