Leuzinger held on for a 76-72 victory over Compton Centennial in the third-place game of the Westchester tournament.
Apaches standout Deonte Burton fouled out with 6 minutes 2 seconds remaining and his team trailing by two points, but Centennial hung tough down the stretch before falling.
The championship game between Westchester and Taft, ranked Nos. 1 and 2 in the Southland by The Times, is about 10 minutes away from starting. Arizona State Coach Herb Sendek and UCLA assistant Donny Daniels are among the spectators.
