Crenshaw knocking off Corona Santiago. Venice opening a 13-0 lead on Chaminade before losing. Carson giving Long Beach Poly lots of trouble before losing.
It was a solid beginning for the City Section powers, and this weekend, Narbonne and Dorsey make their debuts against Palos Verdes and Fairfax on Thursday.
Narbonne, a clear favorite to win the City Division I title, has four new starters on its offensive line. The Gauchos are convinced they can run the ball with running backs Johnell Jackson and Tony Gates.
Dorsey quarterback Reginald Bell has a good group of receivers, and it’s going to come down to having enough time to throw.
Crenshaw has another strong test on Thursday at home against Norco.
