Stewart Takes Lead in Golf Tournament

Ray Stewart shot a 67 to take a one-stroke lead after the first round of the National Golf Assn. Fifth Winter Tour Wednesday at Cottonwood Golf Course in El Cajon.
Jim Rutledge, Keith Clearwater, John McComish, Joey Rassett and Tony Krimes are one stroke back at 68. Brian Mogg, Bill Barrett and Rod Curl tied at 69.
The three-round tournament continues today. Total purse is $30,800.
