A fund-raiser at the Radisson Hotel in Mission Valley on Sunday garnered $3,351 for a fund established to honor San Diego police officers slain in the line of duty, a police spokesman said. Spokesman Bill Robinson said the event, sponsored by the San Diego Police Officers Assn., included an auction and was attended by about 1,000 people. The money raised brings to more than $4,000 the total earned so far toward construction of a memorial to honor 25 officers killed in the line of duty since 1913, he said. The officers association hopes to raise $20,000 for the memorial.
