Bankrupt Firm’s Chairman Jailed in Bribery Scheme

NEW YORK — The chairman of now-bankrupt Frigitemp Corp. was sentenced Tuesday to 18 months in prison for his part in a $5-million bribery scheme involving General Dynamics Corp., the nation’s largest defense contractor.
Gerald Lee, 57, of Manhattan, had pleaded guilty to racketeering and conspiracy in December, 1983.
