Trash Rates to Rise:Trash rates will increase immediately from $5.75 to $6.10 per month for residential customers. The City Council, in voting for the increase this week, also approved a $12.09 a month increase in commercial rates for three-cubic-yard bin collections. It approved a $14-per-month decrease for larger commercial bins to bring those fees in line with others in the area.
