Producer Mark Goodson has contributed $2.75 million to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to establish a foundation in his name, the first charitable foundation administered by the medical center.
Goodson, who sits on the Cedars-Sinai board of governors, will make recommendations on disbursements from the foundation. The hospital said the initial disbursement from the Mark Goodson Foundation is a $50,000 gift to Cedars-Sinai’s Endowment Fund Campaign.
Known for his role as head of Goodson-Todman Productions, Goodson began his broadcasting career in radio. He moved to television in 1949 with “What’s My Line”.
