ENCINITAS — A public forum on two controversial rezoning proposals in the San Dieguito area will be held at 7:30 tonight at Oak Knoll Elementary School, 910 Melba Road.
The proposals are to up-zone about 100 acres in the area of Quail Gardens, which was recently approved by the county Planning Commission; and to increase the density of a proposed condominium project at D Street and San Dieguito Drive (Encinitas Highlands). Discussion will be led by members of the Leucadia-Encinitas Town Council and COMMUNITY, a new community planning group concerned about increased density in the San Dieguito area.
Both proposals are scheduled to be heard by the San Diego County Board of Supervisors next Wednesday.
