Diarrhea Still Deadly in Third World Nations

WASHINGTON — Simple diarrhea will kill more people in the in the world during this decade than bubonic plague did throughout the entire Middle Ages, according to Pediatric News.
Thirteen million deaths--one fourth of the world’s total each year--occur among children under the age of 5, says the medical journal, reporting on a survey by the Worldwatch Institue.
