Old Elephant, Panda Teeth Found in China

PEKING — Archeologists have unearthed teeth of ancient elephants and giant pandas dating back as many as 2 million years in central China, the official New China News Agency said Saturday.
The eight fossilized teeth belonged to the Stegodon, an ancient elephant, the giant panda and other animals living between 100,000 and 2 million years ago, the agency said. It said archeologists discovered the teeth in a mountain cave in Chongqing, Sichuan province, the home of many of the world’s last giant pandas.
