Getting Around

How astonishing it must have been to Sigmund Freud that he could observe his yet-unborn daughter Anna’s “interuterine movements” (Book Review, April 14).

Surely, moving from mother to mother as a fetus must have been an unusual, if not unique, behavior pattern, even in “Victorian” Vienna. How much less interesting it would have been if the movements had been merely “intrauterine,” as was the case for most of the rest of us!
