WARSAW — Poland retaliated today for the United States’ expulsion of four Polish diplomats by suspending air courier service for the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw.
The service, in operation since 1957, brought packages, food and supplies to U.S. diplomats here. The United States ordered the four Poles out in response to Poland’s expulsion of two U.S. diplomats who it charged were among the leaders of an illegal anti-government demonstration on May 1.
