American Magnetics Corp., Carson, elected as directors Verney Brown, president and chief operating officer, and Richard M. Rosenberg, vice chairman of Crocker National Bank and chairman of Mastercard International Inc.
The company also named Rene Baus Jr. senior vice president-corporate development, a newly created post. He had been vice president-research and development. Additionally, John T. Renna was appointed vice president-magnetic heads and C. Terry Conant was appointed vice president-engineering.
The company designs, develops and manufactures magnetic-stripe credit card products and optical character recognition equipment.
