WCAC Adds Postseason Tournament

SAN FRANCISCO — The West Coast Athletic Conference will hold a postseason basketball tournament starting in 1987 to determine its automatic entrant to the NCAA Tournament, WCAC Commissioner Michael Gilleran announced Tuesday.
All eight teams--Gonzaga, Loyola Marymount, Pepperdine, Portland, St. Mary’s, University of San Diego, University of San Francisco and Santa Clara--will be eligible for the tournament. All games will take place at campus sites, with the highest seeded teams getting home-court advantages.
