Travenol-Gentech Diagnostics and a joint venture formed by Du Pont and Biotech Research Laboratories Inc. received approval from the Food and Drug Administration this week. They were among five companies licensed by the U.S. Deparment of Health and Human Services to develop a blood screening test for AIDS.
