B. P. Dougherty Leads Orange County AIA

Brian Paul Dougherty, a Newport Beach architect, is the new president of the Orange County chapter, American Institute of Architects. He succeeds James R. Harris as head of the 846-member professional group.
Other new officers include Paul J. Ruffing of Newport Beach, vice president/president-elect, and Donald W. Caskey of Irvine, secretary. John W. McMurray of Laguna Beach continues in his two-year term as treasurer.
New members of the OCCAIA board of directors include David J. Baab of Irvine; Janet Cunningham of Costa Mesa, associate member; Frederick J. Gaylord Jr. and Robert B. Stockton of Newport Beach. Continuing their two-year terms are Howard L. Gilpin of Costa Mesa, Terry D. Jacobson of Orange and J. Randall Roberts of Santa Ana.
