Julia Byrne, Mother of Federal Judge; Rites Celebrated Today

Mass will be celebrated at 7:30 tonight at Christ the King Catholic Church in Los Angeles for Julia Lamb Byrne, mother of one federal judge and widow of another. Mrs. Byrne was 90 when she died Wednesday in a Los Angeles hospital. Her survivors include her son, U.S. Dist. Judge William M. (Matt) Byrne Jr., a daughter, Moira Byrne Foster, and four grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the William M. Byrne Sr. Scholarship Fund at Loyola School of Law, Los Angeles. Byrne Sr. died in 1974.
