Gov. George Deukmejian on Thursday appointed San Diegan Jeffrey L. Tucker, 28, a student representative to the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges.
Tucker is a Grossmont College business major, a Republican and has been president of the Associated Students of Grossmont College for more than a year. He replaces Laura H. Hill of Diamond Bar, whose term has expired.
