Candelaria and Grich Get Cortisone Injections

MESA, Ariz. — Angel left-hander John Candelaria, who has been unable to pitch in exhibition games because of soreness in his left elbow, received a cortisone injection Friday and is expected to start throwing again Monday, Dr. Lewis Yocum said.
Yocum also examined Gary Lucas, who has been sidelined by a lower back problem, and said that Lucas could begin throwing Monday.
Second baseman Bobby Grich received a cortisone shot for tendinitis in his left elbow.
