Four men vying for two seats on the City Council will discuss local issues and answer questions at a Candidates Night sponsored by the local chapter of the League of Women Voters.
The forum will be held in the City Council chambers at City Hall, 201 E. La Habra Blvd., at 7:30 p.m. April 2. The election is scheduled for April 8.
Incumbent Mayor William Mahoney, a probate attorney, and Vice Mayor Kent Roberts, who lists his occupation as hotel development and management, are seeking reelection to the five-person council. They are facing challenges from Douglas Bystry, a public relations consultant, and Steven Wilder, a financial management administrator.
There are about 24,200 registered voters in La Habra divided into 20 precincts.
