El Dorado Takes Lead in Baseball Poll

El Dorado High School took over the top spot in the Orange County Sportswriters Assn. baseball poll this week, and the Empire League continued its strong showing. Loara and Esperanza are ranked second and third, and Katella moved into a tie for the 10th spot.
Tustin, the county’s only undefeated team, and Fountain Valley also moved into the Top 10 for the first time. The poll:
