John Drew, who was barred from the NBA for life under the league’s drug policy, has been named the newcomer of the year in the Continental Basketball Assn.
Drew, who plays for the Wyoming Wildcatters, averaged 25.9 points a game.
Drew was banned from the NBA last fall after he had applied for drug treatment for a third time.
