Options to Block Palisades Drilling

The threat of oil drilling in Pacific Palisades is closer now, following a City Council board’s override on July 3 of the Zoning Administration’s ruling against oil drilling. However, residents can still help block drilling by refusing to sign or to extend oil leases. Property value losses from pipeline activity and the potential for noise, smells and outright disasters will far outweigh minor payments from leases.
