Gunmen Kill Suspected Mafia Chief in Italy

NAPLES, Italy — A suspected leader of the Naples Mafia was shot to death Sunday in a crowded fish market, police said.
Matteo Vezzi, 41, died instantly when an unidentified man on a motor scooter fired a pistol at him from close range. Police said the attack appeared to have been motivated by a power struggle between various gangs of the Naples Mafia, known as the Camorra, for control of illicit trade in the area.
