Poachers Kill 30 Rhinos

NEW DELHI — Poachers have killed at least 30 rhinoceroses in Assam state in the last two months after the black-market price of the animal’s horn rose to $4,000 per pound from $3,360, the United News of India said Sunday. Indian law forbids killing rhinoceroses, but rhino horn is regarded as an aphrodisiac.
