Former hostage David Jacobsen emerged briefly from his son’s home to say he will answer questions at a news conference Wednesday, but otherwise he spent the entire day in seclusion with his family in Huntington Beach.
“I don’t think there’s anything to say now, not until David gets organized and wants to make a statement,” said Sally Jacobsen, his ex-wife.
Meanwhile, plans were being made for a prayer service honoring Jacobsen, 55, on Sunday at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove. Jacobsen will be the guest of the Rev. Robert Schuller, church pastor, according to church spokesman Mike Nason.
During the service, Jacobsen’s son, Eric, 30, is expected to sing a song that he and his brother, Paul, 28, wrote to call attention to their father’s captivity, Nason said.
