Rejection of Rose Bird

“Rose Bird Ousted.” A sad, sad day for California.
A woman of honesty and integrity, her job was not to interpret the law with an eye to the public’s passions of the moment, but rather it was to see that the law as written was implemented, and this she did, despite much criticism. Perhaps in the future some sort of minimal intelligence test should be made a prerequisite for voting.
