Local News in Brief : Simi Woman Killed, Man Hurt in Shooting

Awoman was killed and a man wounded Monday afternoon after they were shot at a home in Simi Valley, police said. The two were not identified.
Simi Valley police found the victims in a house on the 5100 block of Cochran Street after receiving a report of shooting there about 1:45 p.m., Sgt. Bob Gardner said.
The male victim, 36, was listed in fair but stable condition at Ventura County Medical Center, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The assailant, an adult male, fled and has not been located, Gardner said.
No other details were given.
