Regarding Cedric Maxwell’s statement about Benoit Benjamin, whether he said it or not is immaterial. We who have season seats, and sit in silence watching Rip van Benjamin sleep, are quite discouraged.
It points up one fact. The owners should not be allowed to pay huge salaries to untried rookies. Here’s a perfect example of a much-overpaid player who can’t remember to bring his shoes to a game, let alone think how to play the game.
It’s a sad commentary on the game when this happens, and we pay $20 a seat per game to watch this fiasco.
