Peter Hemmings, executive director of Los Angeles Music Center Opera, confirmed Tuesday that he is “considering seriously” putting on “Plump Jack,” the “concert opera” by billionaire composer-arts patron Gordon Getty. “Plump Jack,” originally commissioned by the International Shakespeare Globe Centre in 1982, is to receive its world premiere in San Francisco in June.
