A fire that broke out in a Great Barrington, Mass., breeding stable killed 24 thoroughbred horses trapped inside, fire officials said.
Investigators were checking whether electrical wiring at Justamere Farm might have touched off the morning fire, but the cause was not determined.
The horses were valued at between $2,000 and $7,000 apiece.
