Net, Revenues Decline at Comprehensive Care

Comprehensive Care Corp. said Tuesday that both net income and revenues dropped in its third fiscal quarter.
For the three-month period ended Feb. 28, the health care company’s net income fell 39% to $2 million from $3.3 million in the same period last year. Third-quarter revenues were off 4.7% to $46.6 million from $48.9 million a year earlier.
For the fiscal nine months, income fell 27% to $9.3 million from $12.7 million the prior year. Sales were ahead 2% to $142.7 million from $139.8 million a year earlier. The Newport Beach company operates a nationwide chain of Care Unit drug and alcohol abuse treatment programs.
