Mexico Makes New Arrest in U.S. Agent’s Murder

MEXICO CITY — Police have made another arrest in the February, 1985, kidnap-murder of a U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration agent, officials said Tuesday.
Jose Luis Gallardo Parra was arrested in Guadalajara, where U.S. narcotics agent Enrique Camarena Salazar and Mexican pilot Alfredo Zavala Avelar were kidnaped rand beaten to death. Their bodies were found buried outside the city after a monthlong search. About 60 people have been arrested in the case so far.
