Santana’s Maul Wins at Gymnastics Event

Eileen Maul of Santana High School scored 36.5 to win the all-around competition Tuesday at the Los Alamitos Invitational gymnastics meet at Los Alamitos High School.
Santana (168), the defending San Diego Section 3-A champion, finished third in the four-team meet. Defending Southern Section 3-A champion Los Alamitos won the meet (171.2).
Alta High School, the defending Utah state champion, was second at 170.8, and the defending Southern Section 4-A champion, Brea-Olinda, was fourth at 166.5.
