Nevada Las Vegas Coach Jerry Tarkanian said he has documentation to refute some items in a published story that revealed possible NCAA violations in the recruiting of Lloyd Daniels, a former New York high school player.
“Some of the things I know are not accurate and others we have to check out,” he said.
The article said UNLV gave Daniels clothes, money, a car and rent-free housing, but Tarkanian said the school took precautions so “something like this couldn’t possibly happen.”
