Fenwick Leaves Post as CSUN Assistant
There were dozens of new faces at the first day of spring football practice Wednesday at Cal State Northridge, but a familiar one was missing.
Jim Fenwick, running backs coach for the Matadors last season, has left the staff to take a year off from coaching. Fenwick was head coach at Pierce College and led the Brahmas to a Southern California Conference championship in 1985 before joining Coach Bob Burt’s staff at Northridge last season.
Mark Lovett, wide receivers coach in 1986, will coach the running backs. Pat Cerutti has been added to the CSUN staff as wide receivers coach.
