Baron Leads USD to Sixth Straight Victory

SAN DIEGO — Sean Baron went 3 for 4, including two doubles and an RBI, to lead the University of San Diego to a 9-3 victory over Western Oregon State College in a nonconference baseball game at USD Wednesday.
The victory was the Toreros’ (18-9) sixth straight. Western Oregon dropped to 0-10.
Sophomore pitcher Rob Sparks (4-3) allowed two hits in three innings for the victory. Sophomore third baseman Andy Roberts went 2 for 4 with two RBIs and scored twice for USD.
The teams play again today at 1 p.m. at USD.
