WASHINGTON — President Reagan will meet with Pope John Paul II at the Vatican this summer and in Florida when the pontiff tours the United States, aides said Tuesday.
The pontiff will visit nine cities on his U.S. tour, and Reagan is expected to greet him in Miami on Sept. 10. Previously, it was expected that the two would meet in Los Angeles on Sept. 16.
The President is traveling to Italy in early June for a state visit and to attend an economic summit meeting in Venice.
