The Southwest Museum has to close and send its employees home because we couldn’t find the $100,000 needed to keep it functioning.
The trauma program of Los Angeles area hospitals is in danger of collapsing because $5 million cannot be found to reimburse hospitals for urgent help to indigent.
On the other hand, there is some serious consideration to spend $9 million to improve the seating arrangements at the Coliseum, including luxury accommodations.
Where are our priorities?
