SDSU Tennis Team Reaches WAC Final

San Diego State defeated New Mexico, 6-3, Tuesday to advance to the final of the Western Athletic Conference men’s tennis championships at Albuquerque.
The second-seeded Aztecs (24-12) play top-seeded Utah (16-10) today for the championship. SDSU has never won the conference title; its best finish was second to Utah in 1981.
SDSU’s No. 1 player, Juilo Noriega, defeated New Mexico’s Jack Griffin, 7-5, 6-4. John Cost, the No. 3 Aztec, defeated Karl Hale, 6-2, 6-3.
