Local News in Brief : Encino Youth Dies as Car Hits Brick Wall

A 16-year-old Encino youth was killed early Saturday when his car struck a brick wall, police said.
Brian Lessin was traveling south on Canoga Avenue near Alamo Street in Woodland Hills when the accident occurred, said Los Angeles Police Officer Rodney Manning. The car also hit a mailbox before turning over, he said. Lessin suffered massive head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt, Manning said.
