A man handed a teller a note Monday saying he had a weapon and took $300 from the Bank of America branch at 16192 Harbor Blvd., police said.
Lt. Mike Hanrahan said the robber escaped on foot with about $300 in cash in the 11:50 a.m. robbery. No weapon was actually seen, and no one was hurt, Hanrahan added.
The suspect was described as being white, about 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing between 180 and 200 pounds, with medium-brown, ear-length hair and “possibly blue eyes.” The suspect was unshaven at the time of the robbery.
