A Sacramento man shot and killed two of his daughters and critically wounded his mother-in-law and also tried to kill his wife and two other daughters before committing suicide, police said. Manik Prafad, 36, of Everett, Wash., entered a home in the southern part of the city with two loaded handguns, apparently bent on executing his entire family, police said. He shot daughters Pravin, 13, and Sashi, 12, in the head. They were pronounced dead at the UC Davis Medical Center. He also shot his 57-year-old mother-in-law, whose name was not released by police. She was in critical condition at the medical center. Prafad also fired at his wife and two other daughters but missed them, police said.
