Pico Rivera : Yard Parking Ban Enforced

Pico Rivera officials on Wednesday began enforcing a new ordinance that bans vehicle parking in front yard areas except on driveways leading to garages or car ports. Parking also is prohibited in side yards on corner lots. The City Council passed the ordinance last August but decided not to begin enforcement for nine months to give residents time to make alternative parking arrangements. For the next few weeks, city parking enforcement officers will issue advisory notices to violators as a reminder of the ordinance.
