Panda Skins Smuggler Held in Hong Kong

HONG KONG — A Chinese seaman was detained Thursday for trying to smuggle hides of giant pandas and skins of rare monkeys into Hong Kong. Police said the seaman was held after a routine inspection of a Chinese freighter anchored off the British colony.
