Michele Granger of Valencia High School threw a no-hitter Friday night as the U.S.A. team beat Chinese Taipei, 10-0, in the first game of the Junior Girls World Fast Pitch Championship at Oklahoma City, Okla.
The game was stopped after six innings because of the 10-run rule.
Only one runner reached base against Granger, and that was on an error.
The U.S.A. team, represented by the Inland Cities Raiders of Bellflower, broke the game open with a seven-run fifth inning. First baseman Jennifer Allard had three hits, including a three-run home run.
