The magnitude of the stupidity of selling weapons to Iran for use against Iraq is becoming quite clear. We have turned the nation of Iraq against us. We have lost 37 American lives, and our ship lies crippled in a foreign port.
The thoughtless, criminal behavior of North and Poindexter, condoned by the Reagan Administration, further erodes America’s image of being a peace-oriented, honest and caring nation that believes in the long-term survival of man. It is becoming all too clear that the greatest danger to the American people is from the American government.
