Why Not Plug the Pigeon Hole?
The June 18 letter from Gloria Anderson, teacher at Centennial High School in Compton, has me puzzled.
She complains of pigeons flying in her classroom. The problem from her letter appears to be caused by a 24-inch hole in the ceiling. However, it seems to run deeper.
Mrs. Anderson is employed to teach her students in the subject of her expertise. But surely part of growing up is to learn that you must do some things for yourself and become self-sufficient.
Wouldn’t it have occurred to her to enlist the aid of her students, borrow a ladder and cover the hole with some form of material to repel the avian invaders?
