Lt. Col. Oliver North: Patriotic Hero or Misguided Zealot?
So, the worm turns! What irony. For months the liberal media and politicians of similar ilk have been condemning North and screaming for him to tell his story, as he had promised to do, finding him guilty even before the investigating committee had questioned him, and accusing him of lying before he had said anything.
What a fiasco! Suddenly the committee is in retreat and their hatchet men, counsel Arthur Liman and John Nields, are the villains in the eyes of the public.
One must now begin to feel sorry for the independent counsel Lawrence Walsh who now has to try and get the colonel to prison. What odds are the bookmakers laying these days?
